Compton Family Wines

The Compton Family’s Personal Label

After 20 years of making wine, Matt Compton is proud to share a collection of wines deserving to bear his family name. …

Compton Family Wines are the result of Matt’s desire to make wines that are reflective of special areas and vineyards that he has had the good fortune of overseeing and working with through the years.

These are vines that he knows intimately, and this deep knowledge of their specific terroirs is key to selecting only the very best fruit for each wine. Once selected, these small lots carefully make their way through the winemaking process utilizing the finest techniques and French cooperage. Only after appropriate aging and Matt’s blessing are the wines shared with the world.

From Matt, Tabitha and the Compton Family, we are proud to offer these wines to you and look forward to sharing more with you as the years pass.

Cheers, Matt

Prince of Pinot reviews

“I came to Oregon’s wine industry twenty years ago not knowing what Pinot Noir was, with a drive to learn and a love of farming. I immersed myself in growing the grapes, which led to learning to make the wine. I am still learning. It is an ongoing process, constantly discovering new things and fine-tuning what I’ve learned.” – Matt Compton     More Info
