Pruning at DeerHaven Vineyard. The two “renewal canes” on either side of the trunk will be what the 2019 fruit will grow on. Pruning is a three step system: cutting, pulling the brush, then tipping and tying. We get started beginning of January and normally finish up by mid-March.
